DELPHI PARKS CLOSED FOR DURATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY

From the Office of the Mayor...

Beginning Monday, March 23, City of Delphi Parks will be closed to the public.  Pursuant to Executive Order 2020-08 executed by Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb on March 23, 2020: any gatherings of more than ten (10) people is hereby prohibited; and playgrounds are closed.

“We recognize exercising is critical to reducing stress and staying sane in this period of uncertainty, however the order from the Governor to close playgrounds and the risk to the public health by keeping parks open for gatherings, weigh in the favor of closing public parks.  Residents are encouraged to follow CDC guidance on managing anxiety and stress during the COVID-19 outbreak by taking breaks, getting plenty of sleep, exercising, and eating well,” said Mayor Shane Evans.
