A resident of Delphi since 1972, Lorraine was appointed to the Parks Board in 2010

Why I wanted to become a Parks Board Member:
I was asked by the Mayor to be a member. I felt it was a good way to serve the community. My family has always enjoyed the parks in Delphi and it gives me an opportunity to give back. I truly appreciate the work that has gone into the parks by other workers and Board members.

Civic Group Involvement:
I am a member and volunteer at the Wabash and Erie Canal. I am a long time member of Psi Iota Xi sorority that makes it a priority to give back to the community in many ways. Although my teaching experience is not a civic group, each year we studied the many aspects of Delphi and its importance in the development of Carroll County. Teaching civic pride was always important as we would develop Pioneer Days at the Canal.

Hobbies:
Now that I am retired from teaching, I enjoy reading very much. David and I try to walk everyday. I am very involved in our church and all its activities. I do volunteer work in a few areas including the Wabash and Erie Canal. I am a member of the Junto Club and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. My favorite pastime is spending time with my family and grandchildren.
