The question of whether the dawn to dusk usage of Delphi Parks is a city ordinance. Anita was going to check to see if this is noted in the city books as an ordinance so enforcement can be executed.
Graffiti was found on the back of Riley Cabin and is being removed by the Parks Department.
The discussion regarding soccer practice/games at Riley annex and how all events can be accommodated was held. Various ideas of utilization of the Delphi Armory front yard for soccer practices were brought up. Also, utilization of the sporting events form would facilitate organized use of all park grounds which is forthcoming. Anita, Lorraine, and Gretchen will be getting together a revised Parks policies form for use by any group desiring to utilize any Parks property for an organized event(s).
A downed lamp at the swinging bridge in Riley Park is on back order with Duke Energy. Anita has contacted Duke Energy four times and is still awaiting the new lamp.
Restrooms at Riley Annex will be open 8:00am-4:00pm due to vandalism.
Trail markers are experiencing vandalism. It was shared that a grant through the police department for cameras along the trails might be of interest for the Parks Department.
Summer Recreation handouts were passed out at Delphi Elementary. Summer Rec programs start June 14th.

Three (3) new recycled benches were received from the solid waste grant. Two have been placed at Stone Barn Park and one was placed at Riley Cabin.

The only bid for the planting of trees was received from Bennett’s Greenhouse in Lafayette. At this late juncture in the year, it was advised that a fall planting would be necessary if they were the bid winner.
Two humidifiers were donated by Chris and John Neumann for use in both sides of Riley Cabin.
A discussion ensued again regarding Riley Park restrooms and the need to hook up to the City sewer was held. The City of Delphi currently pumps the restrooms each month. The recent issue with the restrooms was that they were clogged and needed flushed out.
